4 New Members Join the Collaboration Group
(Tampa, FL, August 31, 2021) Best Innovation Group (BIG), a technology and financial services innovator, is happy to announce that four more credit unions have joined its Innovation Club. The Innovation Club is a collection of forward-thinking C-level executives from medium and large credit unions in the US who come together to discuss and brainstorm some of today’s toughest challenges and tomorrow’s most promising technologies.
New members are Chris Kearney, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer at TruWest Credit Union based in Phoenix, AZ; Brad Barnes, Chief Financial Officer at Air Academy Federal Credit Union headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO; Fernando Ortega Sr VP and Chief Information Officer at El Paso, TX-based GECU, and Willis Chang, Enterprise System Architect at Manhattan Beach, CA’s Kinecta Federal Credit Union.
“BIG is very happy to enhance the exclusive membership of our Innovation Club with these quality credit union leaders,” says John Best, BIG’s CEO and co-founder. “Collaboration is the credit union industry’s super power. Nothing has proven this to me more than the shared successes we have experienced over the last 6 years with this group.”
Few credit unions have a research and development budget that is substantial enough to compete with the large banks, Best explained. The Innovation Club engages in educational and innovative projects using new technology to help solve some of the most pressing issues facing the credit union industry. The Innovation Club is an opportunity for credit unions to share ideas and collaborate, sharing the cost and risk of exploration and development as well as an open exchange of experiences.
